GITO-Publishing is a privately owned company which is located in Berlin, Germany. It is a member of the Association of Magazine Publishers Berlin-Brandenburg.
GITO's publishing sector arose from the takeover of the journal CIM Management from the R. Oldenbourg Verlag in 1994. In 1996 the journal was renamed as Industry Management - Journal for Business Processes. Today it is the leading scientific journal for strategy, organization and implementation of information systems in industrial companies.
Since 1998, it is also publishing the specialist journal PPS Management - Journal for Information Systems in Production and Logistics, which rapidly developed to the leading German medium of this field with regard to content. Since 2003, GITO also publishes reference books. By now, several series with a wide range of authors and editors have been published.
The objective of GITO-Publishing is to provide expertise for the industrial practice. By publishing high quality reference books and specialist journals, it helps companies of any size to optimize business processes and to find more economical and applicable up to date solutions for all fields that demand intensive planning.
